Your Guide: Environmentalist David Hatch

David Hatch

David Hatch has spent his entire working life conducting research in the environmental field.  He has travelled extensively in many parts of the world and has conducted tours throughout Canada’s Arctic as well as the tropics and beyond.  He has been leading tours to Churchill for spring birding and summer beluga whale watching since 1968 and has been guiding the fall Polar Bear Tours for The Great Canadian Travel Company since 1990.  He specializes in terrestrial biology and has worked diligently to help preserve habitat for endangered species.  He has studied the global impact of the changing climate and is fascinated by the interrelationship between the flora and fauna of our world.

David is a keen listener and has amassed a great knowledge of the major environmental issues facing the planet.  Continuously for two decades, he has been on two conservation boards and spends a great deal of his volunteer time securing and managing wildlife habitat.  David has a great ability to work with a wide diversity of people. He has an excellent sense of humour and a deep knowledge of natural history.  His clients often return time and again to be a participant on one of his tours.
