program, offering participants the opportunity
to visit the evocative and fascinating Baffin
region and immerse themselves into the
culture, art and landscape of Canada's
Inuit people. Join us for your own
voyage of discovery into the far, far north.
Day 1: Depart from Ottawa on a morning flight north to Iqaluit, with a connecting flight to Pond Inlet, some 2000 miles north of Ottawa. Day 2/3: You have two days to explore this vibrant community and take your choice of a variety of local tours. Head out to the floe edge to see the arctic mammals, walk through the community or hike to the high ridges on the outskirts and enjoy the spectacular view. Day 4: You will head back to Iqaluit today and overnight in the territory's capital. Day 5: A short flight high above Auyittuq Park will take you to the charming village of Qikitarjuaq where you will stay for two days. Day 6: This is a perfect opportunity to book a tour in the bay and have an opportunity to see narwhal, polar bears, icebergs and other remarkable northern sights! Day 7: The short flight south will take you back to Iqaluit for the last overnight. Day 8: You will have the morning free to explore the community and perhaps do some last minute shopping before returning south to Ottawa where the tour will end. |
