You too can enjoy nature's fabulous light show. Take part in an Aurora Borealis Adventure and take full advantage of the luxurious Blachford Lake Lodge. Enjoy the light show from the dining room or one of many lounges. Soak outside in the bubbling hot tub or get cozy in bed while you watch the lights. It will be an experience you never forget! Some of the best northern lights can be seen in early winter, but any time the lights are out, the displays are spectacular.

Due to the popularity of aurora viewing based from our lodge we now offer 3, 6 and 8 day packages during the winter from Late January to the third week of April. If you are hoping to photograph the aurora borealis, remember to bring your tripod, remote shutter release, high speed film and your widest angle lens.

January and February departures from Yellowknife are at 12 noon with arrivals back in Yellowknife from the lodge by 2 PM. All other Aurora departures at 6 PM from Yellowknife and return to Yellowknife from the lodge by 7:30 PM.
